Preserving the Stories of Our Past

This year, 2016, Heritage Caledon is celebrating ‘40 years of Heritage Conservation’ as a municipal heritage committee. The committee is working with Caledon Public Library to deliver throughout the year a number of programmes, workshops and displays for all ages that will focus on local history and celebrate the rich heritage of Caledon.

An upcoming event is ‘Bridging the Gap’ for seniors and high school students. This is an inter-generational programme that Caledon Public Library is facilitating to bring together local seniors and high school students to write the seniors’ life stories. This celebration is the opportunity for the students to present the seniors with their life-story album that will be a legacy for generations to come. The celebration is open to the community at no charge and light refreshments will be served. Sunday April 10th at 1 pm at the Albion-Bolton Library Branch.
