A Heritage Report Gets a Life

Port Stanley book

‘Port Stanley – The First Hundred Years, 1804-1904’  was started as historical research for a proposed heritage conservation district in the historic Lake Erie community. After finishing their work, Robert Burns and Craig Cole decided it was deserving of publication and ended up producing an entertaining account of a specific 100-year period of Port Stanley’s early development. The authors received support from Heritage Port, and Elgin Historical Society funded publication so that proceeds for sales of the book return to them to continue their work. The book is available locally in stores and venues in Port Stanley, or through the Historical Society.
